Jesus has a message for you, church of Ephesus!
I am the one holding seven stars in my right hand and walking among the candle sticks. I recognize that some of you have had great patience for my namesake, and you have even tried people around you and found them to be liars. I am not happy with the fact that you left your first love.
I am not happy with the fact that you left your first love. Those of you who have left your first love need to mourn sin and repent quickly and do the first works, or I will remove your candlestick from under you.
There is one thing that I am proud of: For those of you who left your first love and then lamented because you realized how dreadful the Nicolaidanes are who are working for prosperity. The Nicolaidanes will do anything to turn people away from God. I am proud of the people who hate the Nicolaidanes. There is a spiritual war going on between the Nicolaidanes and the people who are keeping their candles lit.
Behavior: chasing prosperity or accepting God's grace.
Someone who loves themself will chase prosperity and they will have high self-efficacy.
They will sacrifice intentional sin while they are chasing prosperity. People who are accepting God's grace will sacrifice unintentional sin.
